Obituary for Naomi Matchett

Naomi  Matchett
Naomi Matchett, 88, of Russellville, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013, at the Arkansas Hospice River Valley Home in Russellville. She was born July 31, 1925, in Newport, daughter of the late George W. and Berma Coffman Pettit. She was a member of the Atkins First Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Delmer Matchett; a daughter, Ruth Standridge; and 2 daughters-in-law, Bonnie Matchett and LaDonna Matchett.
She is survived by 2 sons, Glen Matchett and Frank Matchett; and 3 daughters, Janice and husband Garry Hudson, Joyce and husband Gary Simmons, and Mary and husband Johnny McCoy; 14 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services are 10:00 AM, Tuesday, December 17, at Atkins Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny McCoy, Rev. Frank Matchett and Rev. Mark Simmons officiating. Burial is in Oakland Cemetery by Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Monday.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Don Palmer, Matt Standridge, Donald Matchett, Steven Matchett, Thomas McCoy and Chuck McCoy. Honorary pallbearer is Michael Matchett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in her honor may be made to Atkins First Free Will Baptist Church, P.O. Box 176, Atkins, AR 72823.
