Obituary for Imogene Johnson

Imogene  Johnson
Imogene Johnson, 85, formerly of Ben Hur, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2015, at Legacy Heights Nursing Center in Russellville. She was born December 25, 1929, in Mt. Judea (Newton County), daughter of the late Delbert and Susie Sutton Campbell. She married the love of her life Robert L. Johnson on May 11, 1947. She attended Ben Hur Free Will Baptist Church. She was the bookkeeper and assistant for the family’s saw mill, and was a loving mother, grandmother and sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Robert L. Johnson.
She is survived by her daughter, Linda and husband Glen Garrison of Hector; granddaughter, Michelle and husband Allen Bishop of Mountain View; great-granddaughter, Jessica and husband Clayton Keith of Alexander; great-grandson, Ben Bishop of Mountain View; brother, Rev. Devoe Campbell and wife Joyce of Russellville; sister, Fay Sexton of Pelsor; 3 nephews; 1 niece; and a host of family and friends.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM, Monday, August 3, at Ben Hur Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Glendon Garrison and Rev. Charley Garrison officiating. Burial is in Moore Cemetery under the direction of Lemley Funeral Service of Atkins.
Pallbearers are Allen Bishop, Clayton Keith, Danny Sexton, Gerald Sexton, Randy Campbell and James Louis Garrison. Honorary pallbearers are Willis Standridge, Taft Standridge, Loyd Standridge, John Collins and Arley Chisum.
The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Legacy Heights Nursing and the Arkansas Department of Health Hospice.
