Billy E. Jackson, 81, of Atkins, died Friday, March 9, 2012, at Ft. Smith. He was born September 27, 1930 in Hebron, Texas, the son of John Elmer and Tadie Marie Curtis Jackson.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Betty Blackwell.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Gladys Cox Jackson of Atkins; 2 sons, Johnny and wife Dorothy Jackson of Atkins and James and wife Debbie Jackson of Russellville; 2 daughters, Linda and husband John Joplin of Greenwood and Jo and husband Carl Moorehead of Cortland, Ohio; son-in-law, Jr. Blackwell of Appleton; 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Charles Jackson of CA; and sister, Jean Miller of Austin, TX.
Memorial service will be 7:00 PM Monday, March 12, 2012 at Lemley Funeral Home Chapel in Atkins. Visitation will be 6-7:00 PM prior to the memorial service.
