Obituary for Vernon Lee Godfrey
Vernon Lee Godfrey, 84, of Atkins, died Monday, February 15, 2010, at Legacy Lodge Nursing Home in Russellville.
Born April 22, 1925, in Tilly, he was the son of the late Emmett George and Drucie Thompson Godfrey. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Godfrey.
He is survived by his son, Frank Godfrey; four daughters, Rita Millisaps, Phyllis Wininger, Sherry Henry, and Trenna Robertson; brother, Eulan Godfrey; four sisters, Juanita Brock, Willodean Harris, Retha Brock, and Wanda Smalls; eleven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral service and burial will be 1:00 PM, Tuesday, at Union Hill Cemetery, in Tilly. The Rev. Elder Dean will officiate.
