Alvin “Buck” Goates, 61, of Plainview, died Sunday, July 15, 2012, in Little Rock. He was born February 6, 1951, in Morrilton, the son of Oddus and Mattie Lair Goates. Buck loved fishing and life itself.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Goates; parents; 2 brothers and 1 sister.
He is survived by a sister, Chris Hodge; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service and burial is 10:00 AM Friday, July 20, in Atkins City Cemetery with Rev. Chad Duvall officiating. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Thursday at Lemley Chapel in Atkins.
Pallbearers will be Dale Smith, Robert Willcutt, Johnny Willcutt, Gary Penman, Austin Duvall and Lonnie Duvall.
