Billy Joe Ennis, 73, of Atkins, passed away Saturday, April 6, 2013, at the V.A. Hospital in Little Rock. He was born April 18, 1939, in Pea Ridge (Pope County), the son of Earnest and Hazel Reynolds Ennis. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents; 2 brothers, Jerry and James Ennis; and 2 brother-in-laws, Rev. Bill Williams and Douglas Patton.
He is survived by brothers and sisters-in-law, Johnny and wife Carolyn Ennis of Dover, Walter and wife Kathy Ennis, Bobby and wife Karen Ennis, and Mary Ennis, all of Atkins; 2 sisters, Leoda Williams of Atkins and Sharon Patton of Mabelvale; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Logan Pope.
Graveside service and burial is 2:00 PM Wednesday, April 10, at St. Joe Cemetery with Rev. Jim McNutt officiating. Visitation is from 6:00-8:00 PM Tuesday.
