Carolyn Tester  Barkley
Carolyn Tester Barkley, 71, died January 22, 2010, in Tyler, Texas, after a lengthy illness.

She was born September 15, 1938 in Chickalah, Arkansas, to Jack and Lorene May. She was a longtime member of the Atkins and Russellville communities, and had worked in the banking industry for many years. In 2000, she and her husband Jack Barkley moved to Yantis, Texas. She was a charter member of Beta Sigma Phi and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her father, Jack May, and brother, Billy Paul May.

Survivors include her husband, Jack Barkley of Yantis, TX; son, Morris (Sandy) Tester of Lonoke, AR; daughters, Tonya (Ron) England of Bullard, TX and Jeanine (Bryan) Franklin of Flint, TX; mother, Lorene May of Russellville, AR; brother, James(Judy) May of Russellville, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2 P.M. Saturday, January 30, 2010, at the London First Baptist Church in London, AR, with Reverend Danny Green officiating.
