METAL CASKETS
The majority of metal caskets available on
the market today are known as "gasketed" caskets. This terminology
reflects that they are manufactured with a one-piece rubber gasket that
runs around the inner lid of the casket. Once the lid is closed, a mechanism draws the lid and gasket tightly together to form a stable unit.

Some metal caskets utilize Stainless Steel, Copper, and Bronze construction. These metals naturally cost more than Steel, but resist rust and deterioration somewhat better. Steel caskets are by far the most popular choice and are manufactured in mostly 18 and 20 gauge thicknesses. Interiors
are tastefully coordinated in materials such as crepe and velvet
allowing for a range of pricing to meet a wide variety of budget concerns.
